Ladybug Valentine Dress

Here is my 5th outfit. My daughter's valentine dress. It's a peasant twirl dress w/ belt and pigtail hair bows. It turned out cute, but seems like this was my most challenging dress by far. I think this pattern just doesn't like me. Gonna have to work on it a little bit. Was suppose to add an apron, but I just decided I wanted to have a bow in front instead. This will be my last outfit I make w/out a serger. Finally got my serger earlier this week so I will for sure be using it on every outfit from here on. Yay! I'm so excited. :)

Cutest Circus Outfit

So we went to the circus a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome. We had VIP seats and I do believe we will get those seats from now on. It was in the perfect location. Of course I had to make my daughter a custom outfit to wear. She got a lot of attention with that cute little outfit on. I have to say so myself that she did have the cutest outfit on that day. Thanks to my wonderful sister-in-law for the animal fabric. She bought one yard on sale last year. It was a discontinued fabric so they no longer make it. It's a shame because everyone seems to love it and I keep getting asked where I got it.
I decided to make a knot dress top and double ruffle pants w/ matching pigtail bows. Turned out so cute. My favorite outfit so far and this is only my 4th i've made. And yes I used every bit of the animal fabric that I had to make this outfit. I got lucky that I had just enough. I do have a little scrap piece left, but going to save that piece to make my unborn son a tie onesie to match his sister's outfit so they will match when we take them to the zoo this summer. :)

Auburn National Championship Dress

So of course I had to make my little one a dress for the the SEC National Championship game. This house is Auburn all the way. My husband is a huge Auburn fan. I'm not that big into college football, but I do support our team 100%. So don't be alarmed when you see Bama or any other college football stuff on my blog, facebook, or website. What can I say we live in the south and it's all about college football and things associated with these teams sales. lol.
Anyways the Auburn dress turned out so cute. I love it and so does my daughter. It's a halter boutique dress w/ elastic casing in the back. Also made matching reversible headband and detachable fabric flower. Everything looks so pretty. I love this style of dress, but it was a lot of work to make. It take a lot of ruffles, but was worth it.

My second outfit

This one turned out so good. I actually shocked myself. I really didn't think I would be able to make this apron knot dress, but I did and it came out so good. I was very nervous about the button holes because I have never done that before, but it came out great. This was me second pair of ruffle pants. I decided to make them slimmer than the first pair because my daughter is so skinny that the wide legs are just way too wide on her. I love this fabric. My daughter didn't have anything in this color so I thought it would be a good change. I am very please how this outfit turned out. After this one I was hooked. Been sewing ever since.

My first sewing creation

My husband bought me a sewing machine for mother's day last year, but I never really used it until December. I finally decided I was going to make my daughter an outfit for Christmas. I started off with something I thought would be simple...ruffle pants, an applique shirt, and a bow headband. I have to say it turned out pretty cute. Everyone thought I did a good job especially for my first creation. Well ever since then I have become addictive to sewing. Since December I have made 5 outfits and there are more in the works. This is my first outfit that I made. More pictures of other creations to come soon.

Formerly known as Pretty-n-Pink Bowtique

So here is my new blog page. My old blog page was http://pretty-n-pinkbowtique.blogspot.com/. I am expanding my business so I needed a name to better suit what I will be doing. I was making hair bows, bow holders, painting, and tutus. Now i'm making hair bows, children's clothing, and embroidery/appliques. No more painting for right now.
